Donation Information:

If you can’t make it to our Toy Depot, you can drop off new unwrapped toys to any Surrey Fire Hall from November 15 through to December 20, 2022. Please note, it continues to be imporant to respect the health of our first reponders; fire halls are requesting visitors ensure safe social distancing by ringing the bell and maintaining adequate distance when dropping off toys to the donation boxes.  Thank you!

Financial donations are needed year round to support our Hamper program.  In 2021, our Hamper Program provided almost $190,000 in grocery vouchers to families in need.  This translates to 21,102 meals for 7,034 family members!  Please consider supporing this essential program with a one time gift or make a monthly donation via the Donate Now link at the bottom of the page.  Thank you so much!

If a financial donation is not possible at this time, please keep in mind that from time to time we also need help in practical matters such as trucking, the loan of equipment, web site development etc.  If you or your company has resources that you think could be helpful to our work, please get in touch!

Dec 1, 2022 Adopt a Family sponsor update:

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Adopt a Family sponsor.  We are happy to say that the sponsor program is full for 2022!

There are other ways to support our work if you are able:  we are in need of financial support to our in house Hamper program, you can click here to donate directly to the Hamper program fund.

We also need toys and gift cards for teens!  In particular, we need toys for boys and girls ages 9 to 12, check out the sidebar on the right of this page for a full wish list, a link to a great article on top toys under $25 and a link to our blog for some great STEM toy suggestions.  Toys can be dropped off at any fire hall in Surrey or right here at our Toy Depot 10355 King George Blvd., Monday – Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Great teen gift card ideas are Guildford or Central City Mall cards, Best Buy, London Drugs, Wal Mart, Shoppers Drug Mart etc.  The ideal denominations for teen gift cards are $25 and $50. If you prefer buying items for teens, we like to match those gift cards with a little something parents can wrap and put under the tree, some ideas include blow dryers, hair straighteners, shavers, personal care items such as makeup, nail kits, etc.  Teens love to make videos so ring lights, selfie sticks, cell phone accessories, headphones, ear buds and other tech items are also very popular.

To our existing sponsors that have been matched with a family, please do not forget to fill out your Gift in Kind tax receipt form and mail it in, (the request form can be found here) along with your receipts, to us at PO Box 547, 10688 King George Blvd., Surrey BC  V3T 5W7.  We must have all forms and receipts in before the end of February 2023 in order to issue your 2022 tax receipt.
